i've always wanted to visit scandinavia. i had never been there, neither did my family, but i have always felt the urge to go there. something inside told me i would just love it. the people, the quietness, the nature. so with a free half year coming up, i decided to just book a plane ticket to oslo and see what happens. for the rest of the month september, i had a train ticket to travel from place tot place. i didn't plan anything, except for my stay in bergen. if i would love it somewhere, i would stay a bit longer, if i hated it, i would leave. i travelled through norway, sweden, and finland, sleeping on couches and extra beds from people who joined the couchsurfing community. everyday i saw the most amazing views, met amazing people, and had an amazing time.
at my arrival home, i just instinctly started etching whatever came to mind. after a few works, i found out actually everything was about 'home'. pretty places where i felt at home, little wooden scandinavian houses, things i took home with me on my trip.
next week i will hopefully graduate, and exhibit all the works i made since my trip. for now, the only thing i can show is a little preview of one of my etchings. this one is about 10x10 centimeter, but most of them aren't bigger than 5cm.

if you're able to, feel free to come check them all out at the timmerfabriek in maastricht, netherlands. my work will be exhibited from 2-5 juli, and entrance is free!
